We’re so looking forward to seeing you at our next Art Evening!
The Format
Our Art Evenings are friendly and informal. They're designed to help you wind down from the week and enjoy creating art in the company of others. Please don't worry if you're a total beginner, we'll tell you what you need to know. And if you have some experience already, our team will be on hand to give you ideas and pointers for ways to improve your work or suggest things you may not have thought of.
We aim to create a relaxed atmosphere where you have a chance to learn something new and have lots of fun in the process!
The Venue!
We’ll be using the lovely Brewhouse and Kitchen for our evening. You can find directions here. You can park for free in the car park in front and to the side of the building, and in most of the surrounding streets (but please check local signage). Bus numbers 166, 60, 466 and 407 all stop outside the church. Please enter through the turquoise doors on the left of the car park, where you should see our Art For Life banner.
On Arrival
Doors will open at 7.15pm. When you arrive you can settle in at one of the tables and then collect your free welcome drink. We'll have wine, prosecco and lager available, as well as a selection of soft drinks and snacks. You're welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks too if you like.
At around 7.30pm we'll demonstrate how to go about creating your artwork, after which you'll make your own version, with plenty of support and tips from our team of course! We will finish by 9.30pm and you can then take home your brilliant masterpiece! You might finish a little earlier as everyone works at a different pace, but we try to do projects that you can achieve within the time in case you don't have the necessary materials to finish it off at home.
What to Bring and What to Wear
There's no need to bring anything (unless you want to bring your own reference photos to work from). All of the art materials you need will be provided. Please wear old clothes or bring an old shirt to cover up in, as some paints are very difficult to remove from fabric once dry.
Do let us know if you have any questions, otherwise we look forward to seeing you soon!
Please note - we take photos for our website and social media pages to share what we’re doing, please let us know beforehand if you’d rather not be included.
